Roadtrip UK - St Edmund Cathedral

The crown and crossed arrows seen on the Bishop’s Throne (left) are symbols of St Edmund's kingship and martyrdom. The carving of the wolf refers to the legend that the creature protected his decapitated head immediately after his death. The Bishop sits here when he visits the Edmundsbury Cathedral.
