The Abbey Gardens have won the town of Bury St Edmunds multiple awards. They cover 14 acres and are used for various cultural events including the yearly Bury St Edmunds Festival. You can walk through the gardens all the way from the ancient Abbot's Bridge passed the Abbey Gate to St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
