Roadtrip UK and Europe - Trinity College

Trinity College was founded in 1546 by Henry VIII. That is his statue above the entrance of the Great Gate (left). Two existing smaller colleges were combined: Michaelhouse which dated back to the 1320s; and King’s Hall that was established by Edward II in 1317 then furthered by Edward III in 1337.
