Tanna Island, Vanuatu

Pete and I were the only ones in the 4WD for our tour through the tropical rainforest to the local waterfall. Our driver stopped at a nearby village and picked up some of the local boys to act as our guides. There are around 105 languages in Vanuatu but these boys were happy to practice their English with us. They learn both French and English at school but generally communication is in Bislama which is a form of Pidgin English.
