Espiritu Santo Island, Vanuatu Part 2

Our favourite spot was 100m out from the small island just off the south end of Oyster Island. The water went from 0.5 – 1m depth at low tide until you reach the good coral and fish. In some areas we were only 1 metre above the coral and other sections it dropped away into a 15m deep ‘chasm’ of stunning blue water with some of the larger fish darting in and out of little caves or overhangs. It was truly magical and almost as good as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Well certainly more accessible anyway. It was as good as the snorkelling we did near the Blue Cave on Tanna Island and again more accessible.    Select the photo below to see more.
