Yoho National Park, British Columbia

They warn at the start of the walk that the steep ascent should only be attempted by confident hikers and it turns out they are right! It was straight up and in many cases the track skirted VERY close to the edges of steep drops to the river and valley below. We were careful not to go too close to the edge but in some cases it was unavoidable as you had only a very narrow track along the edge of the mountain. This spot wasn't too bad so was able to take some photos. In other areas we were too busy, hanging on and concentrating where we put our feet, to take photos! Select the photo to see a the view down the valley.
