Fairbanks and Arctic Circle, Alaska

We travel quite close to the river bank and here we saw a number of reindeer. If they are domesticated we were told they are called reindeer and if they are in the wild they tend to be larger and are called caribou. They are from the deer family but found in the Arctic or Subarctic. Have a look at this reindeer up close.
