Valdez to Anchorage - Alaska

Mineral Creek trail is popular for its cross country ski trails and snowmobile tracks in winter that turn into walking trails in summer. They say the mozzie is Alaska's unofficial state bird! but actually we didn't find them too bad in Valdez compared with some of the other places we came across them. They are so slow moving that you can usually swot them before they bite anyway. On the right side of this creek you can see evidence of where someone has previously camped (free). This scene would be wonderful to wake up to.
