Valdez to Anchorage - Alaska

We decided to detour into the Wrangell St Elias National Park. Mt Wrangell and Mt Drum were just visible so it was hard to tell if it was a puff of smoke from the volcano or just clouds we were looking at. It was still very hazy from the bushfires up north and the firecracker/bonfire smoke so our view of the Wrangell Mountains across the Copper River was not as good as it could be. We are told there is always a marine haze around Valdez anyway as the warm ocean air hits the cold air above the glaciers. Travelling along the Edgerton Highway to Chitina, we think we spotted a weazel as it was too big for a squirrel. We also saw a herd of long haired goats (we think?).
