Anchorage to Kenai Peninsula - Alaska

There were numerous glaciers around the Portage area. It was still hazy with some locals blaming the fires still burning now for over a week up near Fairbanks and some blaming the smoke still belching out of Mt Redoubt across Cook Inlet. We hadn't realised at the time but when we flew into Anchorage over a week ago the airport had not long been reopened. The volcano smoke often causes the airport to be shut down.
