Anchorage to Hubbard Glacier - Alaska

At the glacier face, most of the ice is below the waterline, and newly calved icebergs from below can shoot up and surface quite dramatically. Ships have to keep their distance from it as it can cause damage. Our captain brought us within 390m of the face today which he tells us was his record by 8 metres. You can see a chunk of ice breaking the surface here near where the river bubbles out.
