Nanaimo to Telegraph Cove - Vancouver Island

We decided to stop a couple of nights at Ucluelet near Long Beach so that we could do the Pacific Rim and Tofino beaches justice. We stayed at Black Rock Resort which offered standby rates which I am sure we wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise. It was a large luxurious self contained double room. This is the view from our balcony that evening as the sea fog started to roll in across the ocean. We went from a beautiful fine sunny day to being engulfed in mist in a very short period of time! Next morning we could see whales out to sea - click to see it with the fog gone and if you look really carefully you may see the whale spout.
