Vienna is the capital of Austria but it was not always so. During WW11 it was part of Germany then following that time it was occupied by British, American, French, and the Soviets. It wasn't until 1955 that Austria regained independence via the State Treaty and Vienna became once again the capital of Austria. Select the photo below to see more of Vienna.
