Burleigh Beaches, Gold Coast - Queensland

The main swimming beach at Burleigh is sheltered by the Hill and forms good waves for body surfing. The point is well known as a great spot for surfing so you can always sit and watch the board riders from the point. They have a major surfing competition here in January when the waves are usually quite large.
