UK and Europe Roadtrip - Heidelberg

After Heidelberg was mostly destroyed in a war with the French in 1693, the Elector Johann Wilhelm wanted to rebuild with a focus on the Catholic religion. He invited the Jesuits to assist with that. The construction of a Jesuit College Building and then the Jesuit Church began at the start of the 1700s with the church tower not being added until the 1800s.
