Hohenrechberg Castle has been renovated and enlarged several times over the centuries but even during the Thirty Years War in the 1600s it wasn't destroyed. It was lightning and fire in 1865 that ruined the castle. You can walk along the ramparts of the castle ruins or you can visit the castle tavern for a meal.
