UK and Europe Roadtrip - Tiefenhöhle

There are numerous fossils found here from the time when this area was once a reef in an ocean. Sponge fossils have been dated back to the Jurassic Period. There is a museum attached to this site that explains how the caves have formed and also an 11km Karst Trail that is popular with hikers. Select the photo below to see more.
