UK and Europe Roadtrip - Constance Cathedral

St Margaret's Prayer Chapel, below left, must be the oldest chapel in Constance Cathedral. It dates back to around 1000 and was converted into a burial chamber in 1430. The artwork is not well preserved but it depicts the crucifixion with Mary, John and Apostles set back in a niche and a sun crowned Madonna with angels at the top. The chapel to the right is much newer, constructed in the 1600s or later. Select the photo below to see the crypt that lies beneath the cathedral.
