UK and Europe Roadtrip - Constance Cathedral

After the Council of Constance in the mid 1400s, the Romanesque interior of the Cathedral was gradually converted to a late Gothic style as you see here. A lot of the frescoes from that time were preserved. Select the photo below to see St Conrad's Chapel, altar and tomb containing a gilded shrine in the shape of a house that holds the saint's head! It was saved during the reformation and placed here in 1604.
