UK and Europe Roadtrip - Athens Acropolis

There is evidence that the first fortification wall was built here during the 13th century BC. Most of the structures here today though, were built around the 5th century BC after the Athenians victory over the Persians. It is amazing to think that so long ago Democracy was born here.
