Nitmiluk - Katherine Gorge National Park

Some of the small beach areas on the Katherine River had slide tracks made by crocodiles. The fresh water crocodiles are here because they prefer the sandy banks to lay their eggs. The saltwater crocs like the muddy banks found in rivers much closer to the ocean.
