Kununurra & Lake Argyle

A Hydro Power station is at the base of the dam and meets the electricity needs of Kununurra and surrounding areas. They say it holds the equivalent of 20 times the volume of Sydney Harbour - 11000 million cubic metres. This is the Ord River below the dam.
