Kununurra & Lake Argyle

Lake Argyle is the largest body of freshwater in Australia and is situated amongst the Carr Boyd Ranges. The lake was created in 1972 when the Ord River was dammed to irrigate surrounding areas for agriculture. At the southern end of the lake is Argyle Diamond Mine.
