Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory

Wangi Falls campground is a few hundred metres from the plunge pool. This is a lovely place to base yourself while visiting the rest of the park. It had not yet been cleared for saltwater crocodiles which sometimes come into it during flood times, so it wasn't open for swimming when we were there. After the wet the rangers make sure there are no crocs then it is quite safe to swim - only freshwater crocodiles usually inhabit these waters.
