Ningaloo Reef, Cape Range National Park

Here at Oyster Stacks the waves breaking on the reef edge are quite close to shore. We found this was the best snorkelling spot - there are 3 'stacks' that stick out of the water which are covered with corals (and oysters) and hundreds of colourful reef fish swim around them. I didn't have an underwater camera so you will just have to be believe me that it was easily as good as the Great Barrier Reef and much more accessible. Not only the 3 stacks but ALL of the dark patches are corals. Nobody was snorkelling this day as it was quite windy which made the water choppy.
