Shark Bay, Peron Peninsula

There are a number of free campsites (no facilities, 24hr) along the coastline before you reach Denham and Monkey Mia. You need to phone for a permit though ( 'Camps - Australia Wide' book has details). You couldn't ask for a site with a better outlook than the one we had at Eagle Bluff, 20m back from the cliff edge - quite a view to wake up to!
