Stradbroke Island - Amity Point Holiday

The next day's sightseeing started with a stop at Myora Springs. Myora Springs means meeting place and has a pure fresh water spring that is running today, just as it has done for thousands of years. In the forest you can spot freshwater crayfish, prawns, bungwal fern and other plant foods - a favoured camping place of the Aborignal people. Just a little further down the road is an interpretive walk that explains more about the Aboriginal names and uses for the various plants and animals found on Stradbroke Island.
