Stradbroke Island - Amity Point Holiday

Next stop was the museum in Dunwich and then Brown Lake (a perched lake) via the sealed Trans Island Road. The clear "tea" colour of the water comes from the surrounding trees and reeds and from the layer of organic matter, which forms the bed of the lake. The Aboriginal name for Brown Lake is "Bummeira".
