Tasmania Roadtrip - Legerwood

These trees were first planted in the small town of Legerwood in 1918 to commemorate the local soldiers that lost their lives in World War 1. When the trees were declared dangerous in 2001 the Legerwood locals hired Eddie Freeman, a chainsaw sculptor from Ross, to create this amazing memorial using the existing tree stumps.
