Tasmania Roadtrip - Beaconsfield

This artwork from 1994 tells the story of Beaconsfield. One of the more recent things the town and all of Australia remembers very well was the Beaconsfield mine collapse in 2006 when the last 2 miners were rescued after 14 days from a kilometre underground. A small earthquake triggered the rockfall that killed one miner.
