UK and Europe Roadtrip - Gelibolu

The tomb of Emir Ali Baba is located near Hamzakoy Beach. Ali Baba was an admiral of the Ottoman fleet in the 14th century. It was about that time, in 1354, that an earthquake caused the almost complete destruction of Gelibolu. The town was abandoned by its then Greek inhabitants.
