UK and Europe Roadtrip - Apollon Smintheus

The temple of Apollon Smintheus was large with 8 columns at the front and 14 along the sides, adorned with sculptures of mythological scenes from the Trojan War in Homer's Iliad. They used Tuff to build the foundations, then Andesite stone blocks overlaid with marble blocks. Select the photo below to see more.
