Holiday Photo Album England - Oxford

Album 83 - After a few days in West Wittering visiting our friends, taking care of van maintenance and attending medical appointments, we headed off to Oxford. The majority of the town revolves around Oxford University established in the 12th century - the oldest university in the English-speaking world. There are beautiful historic buildings everywhere you look. The Christ Church College seemed to dominate the town especially since it also incorporated the Cathedral in its grounds. We found many other colleges though, all with impressive history and architecture. Missed the last Album? See Album 82 which covers England from Dover to London. You can also use the UK and Europe map to select another album or see the Route Map for England.
