UK and Europe Roadtrip - Clacton

Nobody is in swimming at Clacton-on-Sea, just a few enjoying the overcast but fine day. This was once a popular seaside resort but seems to have had its day. This is the last week of the school summer holidays but it isn't very busy. The sign said 'stay off the rocks' , an odd sign I thought. What are rocks for but to climb on?
