Fairbanks and Arctic Circle, Alaska

It was interesting landscape going from fairly flat arctic tundra with water everywhere to rugged mountains with absolutely nowhere you could bring down a plane. We flew over the Yukon River, the Trans Alaska Oil Pipeline and the Dalton Highway which is a 440-mile gravel road reaching from Fairbanks north to Prudhoe Bay. Alyeska built most of it as a haul road to supply their oil facilities in the north.
