Fairbanks and Arctic Circle, Alaska

We decided not to stay in the car park again so headed out of Fairbanks and stopped at this interesting store, The Knotty Shop, with 'burl' creatures out the front. Had to take this photo of the mosquito as they jokingly say the mossie is Alaska's native bird there are so many of them. Have a look at some more of the burl figures. We also passed through the town of North Pole (I am not kidding). The light posts in the town are candy canes and ALL the businesses have some sort of Xmas Theme happening and this is all year round.
