Fairbanks to Valdez, Alaska & Canada Holiday 2009

The Alaska oil pipeline parallels the Richardson Highway through the Delta Junction area on its way to the Port of Valdez. We had been following it for a while now since leaving Fairbanks. The line was underground where it crossed the Alaska Highway and on a cable suspension bridge where it crossed the Tanana River.
