Fairbanks to Valdez, Alaska & Canada Holiday 2009

Album 3 - After leaving Fairbanks we followed the Richardson Highway, Alaska's oldest highway, 368 miles to Valdez. It was the most scenic stretch of road we travelled on during our two week roadtrip. Most people only visit the section from the Kenai to Denali and Fairbanks but they are missing the best of Alaska. This section had magnificent views of the Chugach Mountains, Alaska Range and Wrangell St Elias Mountains and much more. This album covers the area between Fairbanks and Valdez (see Alaska Canada map) but doesn't include those two towns ie Fairbanks is in the previous album and Valdez is in in the next album.
