Fairbanks to Valdez, Alaska Canada Holiday

We stopped at the Visitor Center 14 miles south of Glennallen. It backs onto the largest National Park in Alaska which is undeveloped with few roads. The visitor centre was definitely worth a stop and as per other visitor centres had free internet access so we could check our emails. On teh road again we crossed the Klutina River which is a beautiful, milky, turquoise-blue but clear enough for fish to see flies and bait. This river flows into the Copper River as does the Gulkana River. The Chinook (King Salmon) and Sockeye (Red Salmon) are starting to bite so we saw crowds of fishermen lining the banks of the many rivers we crossed in the Copper River Valley.
