Valdez to Anchorage - Alaska
We drove out to Robe Lake just 10 minutes from town. Robe Lake is over 2km long and lies at the base of the Chugach Mountains. It turns out to be another free camp spot. We booked into the RV park because of the 4th July weekend but would have been happy to stay here. We heard on the radio that Sarah Palin had resigned which was a bit of a shock to everyone. The Alaskans were quite proud of having a voice in Government that everyone knew even though her publicity was not always favourable.
