Valdez to Anchorage - Alaska

We picked up supplies at the supermarket. Notice the sign above the door - Open daily 4am to 12pm. We found the hours people keep in Alaska strange but understandable when it is always light in summer and then always dark in winter. You don't regulate your activities by the daylight hours as much as we do in Australia. When we returned to the RV, we were told there was a bear spotted behind the campground so we didn't wander off in that direction. Firecrackers were going off regularly but the dogs must be used to it (guns/fireworks) as none were barking hysterically like they do at home.
