Valdez to Anchorage - Alaska

We went to the communal bonfire from 8pm - 10pm on a large open area in front of the hospital (medical centre) They had a two man band singing country and western songs and an egg and spoon race for the kids. They were handing out 2 plain sweet biscuits with a large marshmallow and a piece of chocolate. You toast the marshmallow and then squash it with the chocolate between the biscuits. The hot marshmallow melts the chocolate - nice, but one was enough. It was a pretty quiet evening with not that many people around. Back to the RV park to watch the fireworks over the bay at 11pm. The bonfire and fireworks are not very spectacular when it is still daylight/twilight. Notice the people sitting on chairs on top of their RVs for a better view! The echos from the mountains made it sound better than it looked.
