Anchorage to Kenai Peninsula - Alaska

Next morning we stopped at Kenai Beach for a walk. The tide was way out revealing the black sand on what is one of the few sand beaches in Alaska. We take it all for granted in Australia being able to walk barefoot on soft white sand beaches. There was an eagle perched up on the cliffs. Further south we watched people clamming in this "minus" tide of more than 2 feet. They spot tiny dimples in the sand then scrape out a 6 inch hole to get the razor clams.
