Antwerp in Belgium to Dunkirk in France |
Album 81 - Leaving Germany we travelled through some beautiful countryside near Aachen in the Netherlands before crossing into Belgium. Antwerp, with its history dating to the Middle Ages, was a special highlight of this part of our trip. We found Flanders, the Dutch-speaking northern portion of Belgium, very scenic. We crossed into France at Hondschoote, another beautiful town to explore. Our next stop was Dunkirk where we would catch our ferry back to England. It was lovely to spend some time seeing the sights around Dunkirk. Missed the last Album? See Album 80 which covers Germany through Bielefeld to Cologne and Bergheim.
