Boyd River, Old Glen Innes Highway, NSW

The scenic drive along the old highway is well worth it and you can spot many areas for picnics and camping. It follows the Boyd River for about 35 kilometres along a dirt road. The dirt surface can be badly corrugated at times but usually OK. There are no service stations for food, fuel or repairs though so be self sufficient. We stopped at Dalmorton, once a thriving gold-mining town, now only a few historic buildings remain.
