Bundaberg - Mon Repos Turtle Rookery - Queensland

The Queensland National Parks and Wildlife Service have gone to considerable trouble to protect the environment with boardwalks to the narrow beach and special viewing locations for visitors. You can learn about turtles at the visitors centre before being escorted onto the beach by rangers and volunteers. After the turtle has laid its eggs you are able to take photos and use torches as they are not as vulnerable to disturbance.
