Mataranka Falls Walk

The sign at the swimming hole further along the walk explains that crocodiles can be found in this river. The National Park Officers check the area thoroughly before opening it up for swimming. It is not usual for saltwater crocodiles to come into this area but with the flooding they need to make sure. Fresh Water crocodiles can be found here but they keep away from people so aren't a problem - it is the larger 'salties' that are dangerous.
