Dunedin to Catlins to Bluff

A turnoff just before Nugget Point takes you to Roaring Bay where there is a yellow-eyed penguin colony. The short walk takes you to the bird hide where you can view the birds without disturbing them.  Select the photo below to see the view out the window. This was the wrong time to see the penguins (you see them around 8am and 4pm as they go out then return from feeding in the ocean) but you could see evidence of where they congregate.
