Tangalooma Resort, Moreton Island, SE Queensland

There are 15 scuttled wrecks that snake their way parallel to the beach providing an artificial reef system. The first vessel was sunk in 1963 and the scuttling of dredges and barges continued until 1984. As time goes on the coral should increase and fish along with it. We snorkelled for half an hour and were surprised how much there was to see. We found it a bit too cold without wetsuits to stay in much longer.
