Dampier , 40 Mile Beach to Exmouth - WA 2006

Album 35 - Our next stop was Karratha and nearby Dampier which are mining towns. Iron ore and salt that we had seen mined earlier are railed here then processed and shipped from this region. WA is having a resources boom at the moment - we were lucky to get a site at the caravan park with the accomodation/housing shortage. They can't keep up with the expansion. Just south of there we stayed at 40 Mile Beach for a few days before heading further south to Exmouth.
